Highlights of Firmware 8.2.4.2
With the new firmware version 8.2.4.2, eneo strengthens IN series recorders and cameras in the areas of AI analytics, security, VMS integration, and usability.
Optimimized AI Functions
-
ONVIF Mapping:
AI alarms can optionally be transmitted to VMS systems as motion detection events via ONVIF – ideal for environments without ONVIF Profile M support. -
AI Queue & Crowd Detection:
Alarms are only triggered once the configured maximum number of objects is exceeded, helping to significantly reduce false alarms. -
Improved License Plate Recognition:
Enhanced recognition performance with support for German special characters (Ä, Ö, Ü).
Increased Security & Data Protection
-
Optional P2P Server Deactivation:
The P2P server can now be disabled if required, giving operators more control over external connections. -
Improved Tamper Detection:
Enhanced tamper detection with fewer false alarms, particularly for PTZ models. -
Email Optimizations:
Improvements to email handling reduce issues related to spam and bulk mail filtering.
Usability & Integration Updates
-
Four-Eyes Login:
Timeout settings can now be configured individually per user group. Replay access is no longer visible after a timeout. -
Event Push:
Maximum URL length increased to 346 characters, enabling more complex HTTP integrations. -
FTP / SFTP:
Uploads are now possible via domain names, not only via IP addresses.
Notice on Upcoming Changes
The “PerimeterIntrusion” function will be removed in the next firmware release and replaced by “Intrusion” and “Enter/Leave Area” events. The current firmware still includes the former as a transitional option.
eneo Insight: Now Available for macOS
With this firmware release, eneo Insight v2.15.0 is now also available for macOS, expanding deployment options for planners, installers, and operators working on Mac-based systems.
